I have no idea how but I've managed to come back from London slightly more battered than when I left. I'm glad I've got a couple of weeks for my body to recover before I go back to university! And no, I'm not just talking about the state of my liver.
I peeled my hand. With a peeler. In the middle of a race. Let me explain. This year, instead of having one game to play on Christmas Day, we each had to come up with an event in the family Olympics. One of them involved an obstacle course, part of which included peeling a carrot for Rudolph. As an example of how competitive my family are I would like to point out that I was not the only one who is sporting this self-inflicted war wound. I grated my other hand on a cheese grater. Whilst sous-chefing our New Years Eve dinner.
I walked into a metal bench at Vancouver Airport and have taken the skin off my shin. In some weird Dynamo type stuff, my boyfriend has a similar wound and has no recollection of how he got it...
My final injury is not an injury per se, but definitely will take a few weeks to heal. I am now the proud owner of a gorgeous tattoo, thanks to the amazing Steve Richardson at Skunx Tattoo, London. I'll post some photos when it's healed.
Here's to a healthy 2012!
My name is Hannah and I'm a Londoner living in San Francisco. This blog is a random collection of my thoughts and opinions on music, feminism, politics and anything else I fancy.
